No. These classes are designed for absolute beginners. You don’t need to know anything about 3D printers or modelling.

Just yourself. All equipment, materials and tools are provided.

You’ll learn how a 3D printer works, how to slice a model, how to load filament, basic settings, and how to safely run a print from start to finish.
Classes run for 1 hour.
If there is a high number of attendees, the class may run longer to make sure everyone gets a chance to play with a 3D printer, at each session. -
Yes. Every beginner student takes home a small printed item.
If you have a 3D file that you would like to print. Bring the file to class and show the instructor. We can print it in class if time allows, or print it outside class and post it to you.

Longer and more in-depth classes on 3D modelling and printing are planned for launch 2026.

Classes are for age 16 and up.
Classes for under 16s may become available in 2026. -
Small groups only (usually 1–5 people). This keeps it hands-on and easier to learn.

The first sessions are being held in southern Adelaide, at Noarlunga Library, on the 20th of December 2025.
New venues will be added in 2026.
